Course Packets

Many instructors prepare packets of readings and other course materials for distribution to their students. In gathering and copying such materials, instructors are expected to comply with applicable copyright law and are responsible for seeking permission (or having Yale Printing and Publishing Services or the selected copy shop seek permission) when fair use is exceeded. For general advice regarding copyright and exceptions to copyright law, instructors may contact Arabella Yip, Associate General Counsel, at arabella.yip@yale.edu.

Instructors requesting copies from the copying services should ask that they be double-sided and on stock that is at least 30 percent post-consumer waste content in order to conserve natural resources.
