Old Tests and Examinations

Yale College urges instructors not to administer tests and examinations that have been given in previous years and that, therefore, may have been used by some students in preparation for the test or examination. The availability of old tests can constitute a genuine injustice to students currently enrolled in a course, because it means that all members of the course are not on an equal footing and that students who have had access to previous examinations may receive higher grades than they deserve.
