This course aims to give the students a confident and enjoyable start in speaking Burmese, focusing on what they are most likely to need when visiting the country. BURM 130a, Intermediate Burmese IStaff

This course is a continuation of BURM 120 and relies on student knowledge of Burmese script. Students continue learning all major aspects of the language at the intermediate level, including the reading and understanding of formal-style texts. In spoken Burmese, students practice communicating at the increasingly complicated and practically useful level. Course work includes the reading and understanding of formal-style texts.  Prerequisite: BURM 120 or equivalent.
