Tsinghua University M.A./M.P.H. Dual-Degree Program
The Tsinghua University M.A./M.P.H. Dual-Degree Program in public health gives master’s degree students in healthcare management from Tsinghua University the opportunity to enroll in the YSPH Advanced Professional Masters of Public Health program and earn an M.A. from Tsinghua University and an M.P.H from the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) in a three-year joint program.
As participants in the dual-degree program, students will complete their first academic year at Tsinghua University. The second year of the program will take place at YSPH. The third and final year will take place at Tsinghua University. After the successful completion of all program requirements at Yale, students will receive an M.P.H. degree from Yale at the end of their second academic year of the program. After successful completion of all Tsinghua University requirements (after the third and final year of the program), students will receive a M.A. degree in Public Policy and Management from Tsinghua University.
This program is only open to full-time students in Tsinghua University’s Master of Arts (Healthcare Management Concentration) program who plan to apply to the Yale School of Public Health’s Advanced Professional M.P.H. program. Applications must be submitted to the YSPH via its online application system. Interested students will undergo an internal selection process at Tsinghua University in or around November of their first year at Tsinghua University. Applicants must be in the top of their student cohort.
A total of 16 course units is required for the Yale M.P.H. degree.
