Students who have withdrawn from Yale College or who have been required to withdraw, and students on medical leave of absence, may normally in due course request reinstatement according to the procedures administered by the Committee on Reinstatement of the Yale College Dean’s Office. Students requesting reinstatement are occasionally referred by the chair of the committee to their directors of undergraduate studies to discuss the courses that they might take while withdrawn or on leave, or the courses they will take after their return.

The chair of the Committee on Reinstatement is Rachel Russell, assistant dean of Student Affairs.
